22 Weeks!

Swing with my girls at the playground at my old elementary school
I am a bit late updating this week because we left on Wednesday to visit my family and just got back today! We had a wonderful time! Eric was staying over an hour away from my parent's house for a work conference so Addi had a lot of time with my family. Friday morning we were home alone and I climbed back into bed for morning nap time and woke up at noon! We were spoiled. Chocolate cake at my Grandmother's for breakfast, lots of sleep, shopping at the outlets with my Mom and two lunch dates including a date to the restaurant we had our reception when Eric got back. On top of all of that, we also got the phone call that our insurance company was covering my progesterone shots! Woohoo! Completely covered with the same copay, thank God- what a miracle! Everything is coming Tuesday and no more worries. Our prayers were answered. The second highlight of the entire long weekend was Addi- taking her first steps independently!

Addi just took off from holding onto the couch. She took a few steps around the living room then took off (See link to the video below)! I was so sad Eric was away when she did it and I knew he would be too so I didn't tell him. I decided as soon as he got back Addi would show him- and she did! What a precious moment with just a few tears from Daddy. She is walking more and more on her own, getting wherever she wants to go. We are so proud.

From my belly: At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, Stella is starting to look like a miniature newborn. Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and she's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath her gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her body and the deep wrinkles on her skin, which she'll sport until she adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside her belly, her pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Time to get ready for Addi's first birthday...
