Spring Fever

We made it through the worst winter in Boston's history so spring has been extra sweet this year! As soon as we could, we started to spend time outside. The snow wasn't completely gone until mid-April with even a little left Easter weekend. It didn't bother the girls much but it was funny to watch them play in the snow on a 60 degree day. We are now in full spring swing with activities and fun.

Addi turned 5 a few weeks ago and celebrated with a full day of fun. Addi started soccer up again that day and loves it. Both girls get to choose a local membership as their birthday gift this year and Addi choose the zoo and Stella chose the aquarium. We will be having a lot of fun at both this summer. We had a lot of fun exploring the zoo and seeing all of the animals. There was so much more to see so going back again and again won't get boring. After the zoo, Addi chose the feast of pizza and cupcakes. It was a perfect day.

Both girls are wrapping up their dance year and will have their show soon. Their costumes are too cute for words and they have worked very hard to learn two routines. I couldn't be more proud of them. Addi just joined soccer again and is progressing very well! School is also on its last leg with a little over a month left. Addi and Stella love school and truly love their teachers and peers. We had parent teacher conferences for both girls and they went exceedingly well.

Stella's strengths are that she is a good friend and an eager learner. When asked, all of her classmates listed her as a friend on their assessments. Too cute, she is well loved! She also loves to learn and is right on track with almost everything she needs to know.

Addi is also known as a good friend and learner. She is well liked by all of her peers and makes friends easily. Her teacher said she sings most of the day, even during rest time when they play worship music. This made all of us giggle. She is doing really well with her writing and beginning to read. She is also now adding and subtracting which my math  nerd hubby loves. Next week is her kindergarten screening at her soon to be elementary school. I can hardly believe it! She is so ready but I'm  not sure if I am. I will miss my girl on Tuesdays and Thursdays now that she will be in school all week long.

Thankfully, we have a long summer ahead of us including our first stop- vacation during Memorial Day week. It is our favorite week of the whole year and we are gearing up for lots of sand, sun and fun at the beach.
